How do you choose the right Wood Grapple?
There are 3 steps to choose the right Wood Grapple:
1. How heavy is my excavator
A large excavator will require a larger grab than a small one. The weight of your machine largely determines which gripper is suitable for your machine.
2. How much wood do I want to be able to grab or how big are my tree trunks
There are different sizes of the gripper opening. It starts at 120 cm and goes up to 210 cm. The larger the opening, the stronger the grab and the more wood you can move in one go.
3. How much turning force should the gripper have?
The smallest wood grabs have 1 motor, the largest have 4 motors. This is entirely related to the weight that the gripper must be able to move.
